I can't believe how much time I'm spending packing. I'm really not taking very much, but it seems like I've had an open suitcase for the last 2 weeks. I have really focused on packing my own food and medicine, just in case.
I have asked the Lord to settle my heart and to allow the Holy Spirit to take hold of me. It's such a different feeling then when I go on a vacation. I have NO idea as to what to expect. I've tried to not get bogged down with details. I want to be as organic as I can. I don't want to think about what I should do in this or that situation. I have been taught many times in life that God's plan is so much bigger and better than mine, so I'm doing by best to get out of the way.
Thanks again to each of you that have taken the time out to read this. As you do so, please pray for each member of the team traveling this year. Egypt McKee, Micah Henderson, Mirek Mares and myself.
My verse for this trip that God has given me has been a verse that seems to reappear in my life and I'm blessed to take it with me on this trip.
1 Tim 4:12 Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for other believers in your speech, behavior, love, faithfulness, and purity.
